"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!," says Frosty the Snowman every time the kids manage to get that hat up there on his head...and I love me some Christmastime claymation! However, this post really has nothing to do with any of that. This post is about another birthday, one often celebrated with cookouts, picnics and fireworks...at least in the U-S of A. So happy birthday, America! If I had any fireworks, I would surely set them off in your honor, but this is the closest Pretty comes to fireworks:

Not as exciting as something that can blow a finger clean off, but still pretty explosive when they all fall out of the knitting bag at the same time! Yes, still knitting dishcloths...sigh! And, since it IS a holiday, here's a gratuitous shot of Peanut, examining her prizes from the 4th of July picnic (held on June 30th), where she was the first to hit the annual PiƱata:
