It's the little things...

It's the little things that make life worth living, and sometimes it's the little things that make the yarn worth knitting! You know, little things like socks for Peanut, now finished!

Little things like butterflies, finally made up into a mobile for the baby's room!

Little things, like flap mittens, with open fingers, for little hands!

Little things, like snowman noses (and an Olaf, almost finished)!

Little things, like tiny sweater ornaments for the tree...

...times 14...

...or 15 (here's one more!) because that's how Pretty rolls!

Don't get me wrong, there have been big doin's at the Pretty house, too...among them, a Peanut visit, and a Knitter's Party! But there are only so many hours in my blogging day. For now, I will find my joy in these little things, and those other things will have their blog day when Pretty finds some more computer time. :)

Are you remembering to breathe, and finding some joy in this holiday season? I hope so!

Italian "Ice-y" for Halloween

The Frozen hats have landed at their destination, in Italia, and everyone loves them!

The Trolls (parents) love them...

Elsa loves them...

Kristoff loves them...

Olaf really loves them...

Even Sven loves them!

Well, about Sven...I hear that he loves his antlers for only about 10 seconds at a time...but that's longer than White Cat!

So, in their Frozen hats, there were more treats than tricks for the Italian cousins, and I was so happy to have my handmade hats hanging around for their Halloween fun! Now, off to finish that Big Sister Cardigan!

Boxed Set

Short-post Saturday...just long enough to say that this boxed set

is now on its way to Italy! Yay!

When it gets there, and they have had their photo shoot, I'll share a picture of all the cousin hats in action...for now, this will have to do!

Poor White Cat!

Hat Trick!

So, when cousins in Italy love yarny things, and a cousin in Ohio loves to make yarny things, and all the cousins love the new Disney movie Frozen (and all its characters)...well, you had to know that THIS was bound to happen!

Crocheted hats for trolls, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff, but I think my favorite is Olaf...in Summeeeeer!

Well, actually, it'll be fall soon, and these are part of the Halloween fun...so, that's 5 hats for 5 cousins, and then there's the family dog. Looks like he is accustomed to headgear, so let's measure his head and make him some antlers, a la Sven the reindeer! What do you think, G?

I think he approves! I know that I approve of all the fun I have had, and will continue to have, on that last hat! Until then, when I'm not designing silly hats, I'm still knitting socks...and fingerless mitts - these are turning out great!

What tricks have you pulled out of your hat this week? If they're rabbits, you should know that winter holidays are way closer than Easter, and maybe you should reconsider your project list...just sayin'.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing part of your day! I hope that you (and I) have lots of time this fall to Knit in Good Health!
