ZK2025 [almost] in Review

Coming to you live from Rochester, Minnesota, at the 2025 Zombie Knitpocolypse, this Pretty reporter brings you news that all the chickens have indeed been found on the 3rd floor at the Hilton.

Missed your chance to find a chicken? No worries, head straight to the Mochimochiland website or to Ravelry to find the pattern and knit your own! Knit 1, or knit 24 to share with friends!

Not into chickens? There are so many other playful pattern options, so stop and play for a bit in Mochimochiland! The Mochimochi Master of the site (and the knits) is Anna Hrachovic, and this reporter fan-girled hard when she met Anna at ZK2025!

Anna's talk was superb,

as were so many parts of this knitting retreat. From laughing and playing with friends

to laughing and playing with yarn,

the last few days have been a whirlwind of fun for more than 160 knitters from around the country. Also present was the ever popular Eunice, from Why Knot Fibers, who even donned her crochet bikini for the hottest of the hot days...

This reporter also witnessed sheepy shenanigans on the stairs (escalator does not start with "s"),

Eunice's adventures with fiber and knitting,

refreshments,

naps and coffee,

and her ongoing search for a tape measure that would indicate that the body of that sweater she's been working on for two years is finally long enough to start the ribbing.

Words on the street is that she even found some new friends

and a chicken! Lucky duck!...errr, sheep.

This reporter sincerely hopes that Eunice got some sleep last night, and that her head is not pounding this morning...but I did see her getting pretty "chummy" with the photo booth guy...

...and she did take a dip in the titty pool ("knitted knockers" for charity) late into the night...

Thankfully, this reporter practiced restraint with the spirits, but she may lose her resolve and restraint when it comes to breakfast at Hollandberry Pannakoken

and the Market later today!

If you're near Rochester, MN, that market will be open to the public at 1pm, so make your way over! In the meantime, this reporter thanks you for stopping by, and encourages you Knit in Good Health! 😘

PS - Not sponsored by anyone but Pretty, who lives to share what she loves! Do you knit yet? If you don't, you should...knitters are fun, and knitting is good!
