Cheating?

Is it cheating, Dear Reader, if I am thinking of starting another blog?  

(silence)

I mean, I love this blog, and I plan to keep up with this blog...

(crickets)

This, well this is my first blog...and there really is no blog love quite like the first...but I am itching for a new creative outlet.  That's not really so wrong...right?!?

(silence, followed by crickets)

After all, this is a knitting blog.  The "other blog," the one I am thinking of more and more with each passing day, will be different.  There would be almost no knitting at all.  It's going to be full of family stuff.  And I think having two blogs would ultimately make me a better blogger, no?

(Wait...was that silence tacit approval?)

Whew!  I'm so glad you approve!  And to prove my undying love and devotion to you, and to this knitting blog, here is some actual knitting content:

Baseball Sweater Update

I have finally re-knit the right front (that I had to rip out because of a mistake - grrr!), and I have also nearly completed a sleeve!  This is one of those sweaters I'd like to block before seaming, to set the lace flat, and that will be a new experience for me...I think I may try to block the fronts and back tonight or tomorrow!  I'm also a tiny bit worried about this sleeve...when I pull it onto my arm, it's pretty snug.  BUT, there is a LOT of cotton (very stretch-y, not very bounce-back-y) in this yarn, so I am hoping a soak and block will help that as well.  :)

Sock Design Project

Ummm, this one is complete!  I know, I know, that's just a cuff in the picture.  The socks are not complete, but the pattern is, and it's for sale now on Ravelry!  All proceeds go to the American Heart Association (not the American Heart Assassination, CKW gals...good catch, and thanks!), and the pattern is only $5.  Thanks to my Girlfriend, Carolyn Warren, for spear-heading this project and doing all the detail work on the pattern!  

The Letter "L"

Yes, one more letter finished as well!  Now we can sing...as in, "La, la, laaaa - Linoleum!"  "No, Burt, listen to meeee..."  That Burt, he knows how to live!  I do too, and I can prove it by telling you that I've already knit through almost half of the letter "W" next!  Keep watching this space for more details...there are only 3 Letters Left!

See?  Knitting, in my knitting blog!  And I'll surely be back with more in a few days.  After all, knitting is the reason I even started this blog!
